Victoria Newsome

I have always had a love and fascination with wildlife, whether it’s an industrious black beetle in the back garden or a magnificent Humpback Whale breaching next to the boat in an exotic location. I live close to the coast in northeast England, with my love of wildlife starting as a child visiting grandparents in rural Northumberland.

My main occupation is currently with HMRC where one of my roles is mental health advocacy and supporting colleagues with wellbeing. I am retiring very soon to further pursue my interests in travel, photography and wildlife watching. Being part of the Ocean Wildlife Encounters team has now given me the chance to fulfil a combination of these interests, and share my passion of improving wellbeing through the sights, sounds and beauty of nature.
